i wouldn't have done anything different except make a few more in a different color, they'd all be amazing i know. your really good at this photostuff, keep it up!

I can't say why, exactly, but this is just very eye-catching (no pun intended). I think it's the vibrant blue of the eye and the shimmery look to the whole image.
